The North Country Log is produced on a high tech, continuous flow, twelve stage, hydraulic/electric milling system which can produce the log system for the average home in two days. The system is offered in Jack Pine and Red Pine (proven Ontario species along with Eastern White Cedar as available up to 10" dia.).

Devon Mills developed a vertical drop saw allowing them to produce Half Log Siding from their 8" (200 mm) and 10" (250 mm) log systems. Unique to North Country is it's ability to produce a full log corner as an integral part of it's half log. The half log siding is a nail on system that looks identical to the whole log system with full corners and all! The applications for this product are unlimited in high efficient log home construction, conversions, additions, dormers and gable applications.

System Log Building By North Country Log Homes is on-site simplified to stack, tape and bolt. Each log is identified by its length and a one letter code. The window and door openings are precut to predetermined sizes and key cut ready to accept 1.5" dimensional splines. The only on site cutting required is to produce optional curved ends, archways or to picture frame windows and door openings. Eight and ten inch systems are readily placed by hand, the twelve inch system may require a portable log lifter.

The 8" (200mm) diameter log system has a rise per log of 6.75" (171mm) and comes stock with one strip of seal and tape and standard gasket kit. Standard wall is 14.5 courses which gives a wall height of 97.87" (2.486m). Standard corner pass is 12". A twelve ft. (3.650m) log weighs in between 175-190 lb (80-90 kg).

The 10" (250 mm) diameter log system has a rise per log of 8.75" (222mm) and comes stock with double sealant tape and standard gasket kit. Standard wall is 11.5 courses which gives a wall height of 100.5" (2.562m). Standard corner pass is 12" but 18" is the most requested option. A twelve foot (3.650m) log weighs in at between 200-240 lb (90-100 kg).

The 12" (300 mm) diameter log wall system has a rise per log of 10.75" (273 mm) and comes stock with double sealant tape and standard gasket kit. Standard wall is 9.5 courses which gives a wall height of 102" (2.59m). Standard corner pass is 18". A twelve ft. (3.65m) log weighs in at approximately 300 lb.. (136 kg).
